Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie S.A. was founded on 16 February 1989. The company celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. For 35 years we have been organising a wide range of events in Pomerania, on both a national and an international scale.
Although the Tricity's trade fair tradition dates back to 1947, when the company Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie organised a trade fair event in August showcasing Poland's export potential, efforts to establish a major trade fair centre in Gdańsk were not undertaken until more than 40 years after that event. The result was the establishment, in 1989, of the joint-stock company Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie.
The past few years have been very demanding for the company. This was mainly linked to the COVID-19 pandemic period and the war beyond our eastern border. As a team, we rose to these challenges, and today we can say, with full confidence, that we are stronger. This is borne out by the events we organised or co-organised in 2023, such as: TRAKO – 16th International Railway Fair, BALTEXPO – 22nd International Maritime Fair and Conferences, St Dominic's Fair put on a gripping, edgy performance, as did Christmas Market, two editions AMBERIF – International Amber and Jewellery Fair and EuroSkills 2023 and the festival Inside Seaside.
We would like to thank everyone who has been with us over the years and supported our activities. May this be another step in the long and fruitful history of our organisation! We will be celebrating throughout this whole year – stay with us!
