The BEAUTY 2022 fair at AMBEREXPO attracted crowds!

This year’s edition of the largest hair and beauty fair in northern Poland was very popular. One of the most awaited events of this autumn, under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship – Mieczysław Struk, gathered nearly 4.5 thousand. visitors.

Dozens of companies and brands from the beauty industry, product premieres, the opportunity to test innovative products and purchase them at promotional prices, exciting championships, competitions, shows, debates as part of the Gdańsk City of Equality campaign and extraordinary guests – Jaga Hupało and Adam Szulc, who prepared individual, effective show of your artistic and hairdressing skills. During both days of the fair, an impressive program filled to the minute awaited the participants!

This year, the AmberExpo hall has been divided into several zones: science, hairdressing championships, cosmetics, make-up, barber, nail, eco, media and influencer. The most spectacular events took place in the heart of the building on the main stage. The main partner of the Fair was once again JBS Beauty and JBS Optima, Polish distributors of professional hairdressing brands.

The fair was opened by the 10th Makeup and Styling Championship, organized by Beauty Art – Beata Małachowska’s School of Makeup, dedicated to all makeup enthusiasts, both those without professional education. Their leitmotif was a bold, non-obvious, colorful makeup inspired by EUPHORIA Make-up. The subject of this year’s championship is a tribute to the Z generation, teeming with life “here and now”.

According to tradition, the Fair was accompanied by the charity action “Combing for a smile”, organized by the Pomeranian Chamber of Craft for Small and Medium Enterprises together with the Provincial Commission for Hairdressing and Cosmetics. Its goal, as every year, was to support the children under the care of the Pomeranian Children Hospital. Nearly 30 masters in hairdressing from Poland and the world took part in the action. Thanks to the joint effort of the record number of participants and the SENS.US Polska company, we managed to collect a record amount of PLN 10,000.

While the masters of hairdressing took care of the visitors’ hairstyles, the BEAUTY SCIENCE scientific conference was held in the scientific zone, during which outstanding speakers and high-class specialists in the field of health sciences proved with their incredible knowledge that beauty is truly fascinating from the scientific point of view. Students had the opportunity to take part in 4 sections in the field of trichology, cosmetology, podology and dietetics. The substantive patronage of the event was taken by med. Marzena Podgórska, Rector of the University of Health in Gdańsk, institutional patronage of the Medical University of Gdańsk, media patronage of the Cosmetology Aesthetic Aesthetic Cosmetology & Medicine magazine. The conference was also followed by the Young Scientists Session.

On Saturday afternoon, in cooperation with the city of Gdańsk, two socially important debates were held on the main stage. Their theme was the slogan “Beauty has no gender”. In the debates, the three heroes of the “Gdańsk City of Equality” campaign, Jaga Hupało, Adam Szulc and Chris Krakowski from Kovalite Skin, spoke out on an important issue. The debates concerned equal treatment and the approach to trends related to the appearance of women and men in terms of their gender. The audience also had the opportunity to learn about international trends in the creation of gender-neutral cosmetics.

Contests held as part of the Hairdresser’s Day, accompanying the fair for many years, organized by the Pomeranian Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises together with the Provincial Commission of Hairdressing and Cosmetics Industry, enjoyed unflagging popularity among the participants and the audience. Hairstyles and the extraordinary profession of young hairdressing adepts captivated the entire commission, and their culmination was the award ceremony.

The Sunday creative manifesto “New Alternative Hair” created by the outstanding artist Jaga Hupało, realized with Ireneusz Harbuz and the producer of natural hair wigs – NAH, with the guest participation of Adam Szulc, met with great interest. The show was charitable. After the show, NAH donated wigs to women struggling with hair loss after chemotherapy.

During the two days of the fair, each fair participant had the opportunity to use make-up on request in the make-up zone and barber cut on request in the barber zone. During the 23rd edition of the fair, the barber zone was teeming with life! Creative shows, the latest cutting techniques and trends for the coming season were presented by a team of barbers led by Wojciech Karwat. The premiere edition of the BAFRBER WAR National Championship in men’s haircuts and the hairdressing and beauty show of the Polish CMC Poland team, chaired by Ireneusz Harbuz, enjoyed great popularity. A huge inspiration for novice barbers and many years of practitioners.

It is impossible not to mention the numerous shows and lectures taking place as part of the beauty zone. They gave speeches there, among others Saloner, Pharm Foot, doTERRA, Mollylack. In the zone

nails, Silcare “Hybryda on my own” training courses were held on products and accessories provided by the brand.

After great shopping and emotions, you could relax in specially arranged chillout zones and at the water bar, and meet with influencers.

As every year, the winners of one of the largest plebiscites in Poland, “Beauty Masters”, were awarded during the fair. For over ten years, customers of given places, as well as readers of Dziennik Bałtycki, have awarded prizes in many categories – first at the level of cities and poviats, then voivodeships, and finally in the national finals. On Saturday, the awards were presented by the editor-in-chief of Dziennik Bałtycki Artur Kiełbasiński and the president of Polska Press Gdańsk Branch, Tomasz Niski.

The competitions accompanying the Fair for years – Hair Design and Mercurius Gedanensis – were also settled. The winners returned home with diplomas and statuettes.

The fair was held in an atmosphere of inspiring and intense events. How much the refreshed formula of the fair met expectations is demonstrated by the attendance – the fair was visited by nearly 4.5 thousand people. The organizer ensures that the huge interest of professionals and lovers of the beauty industry will guarantee the success of the next edition of the BEAUTY Fair.
