It is with great regret that we received the information about the passing of Andrzej Trojanowski, a man who devoted his life to Gdańsk.

Athlete, journalist, associated with Radio Gdańsk for 20 years, of which he was president and editor-in-chief from the end of 1993 for over 9 years. In 2005, he became the Director of the Office of the Mayor of Gdańsk, and later also the Director of the Office of the Mayor of Gdańsk for Sports. He was the originator of Gdańsk’s winning bid to co-host the 2012 European Football Championship.

With the Saint’s Fair organized for years by the Gdańsk International Fair. Dominika Andrzej Trojanowski has been involved in various roles for over half a century. Encouraged by his father, he started as a halberdier, and in the following years he officially opened and closed the Fair as a herald. Later, he worked at the Fair as a journalist and a member of the Fair Committee.
