A tender procedure is under way to select the General Contractor for the service, sports and recreation building with a pool, to be built at the junction of Aleja Legionów and ul. Kościuszki in Wrzeszcz, Gdańsk. In response to the open tender announcement of 23 April 2025, 9 bids were received, and the most advantageous of them was submitted by STRABAG sp. z o.o.
The company STRABAG was called upon to provide additional evidence confirming that it meets the conditions for participation in the procedure and is not subject to exclusion. The deadline for submitting it expires on 8 May 2025. After receiving the full set of documents and explanations from the Contractor, MTG will select the most advantageous bid. Ten days after the selection of the most advantageous bid, the public procurement contract may be concluded, provided that no appeal is lodged with the National Appeals Chamber during that period.
Lease and contract engineer agreements
In the meantime, as part of the preparations for the project's implementation, on 6 February 2025 an agreement was signed with the facility's operator – Beauty Derm Instytut sp. z o.o., which was selected through a competition for the lease agreement. on 10 April 2025 an agreement was signed with Contract Engineer, the engineering firm ALFA Przemysław Marszałkowski, which was likewise selected through an open tender.
Time for construction works to begin

The 3-storey pool building will have the following functions:
- a 25-metre, 6-lane sports pool with a movable floor
- A 6×10 m learner pool with a movable floor down to a depth of 3.4 m and multimedia attractions
- A spa zone connected to the pool, with a sauna area (6 saunas) offering a range of attractions, including 3 hydromassage tubs, relaxation rooms and massage rooms (5-7 rooms)
- A multi-purpose teaching and conference room, capable of hosting physical activities such as corrective gymnastics for children, rehabilitation or yoga
- Three service floors with a rehabilitation function (medical practice rooms) or office function, with a total area of nearly 1,500 m²
