PowerConnect at AMBEREXPO – wrapped up!

The second edition of the PowerConnect trade fair and conference has drawn to a close. Thousands of visitors, 177 exhibitors and partners from 15 countries. The three-day event at AMBEREXPO was opened by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

On Friday 20 March, the PowerConnect 2026 trade fair concluded at AMBEREXPO in Gdańsk. This was the 2nd edition of the largest trade fair and conference in northern Poland dedicated to energy, security and related industries supporting the energy sector.

The event's opening was attended by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who described Gdańsk, Pomerania and the whole country as the largest energy construction site in Europe. He also stressed that Poland had become an undisputed economic power in Central and Eastern Europe.

– Not far from here we are building a nuclear power plant, which will be a joint achievement, a joint fruit of our Polish and American partners. These are gigantic investments in our energy security. It is also a great example of how important it is nowadays to maintain the unity of the entire Western world.

Besides the Prime Minister, ministers also attended AMBEREXPO, including Miłosz Motyka, Minister of Energy, Wojciech Balczun, Minister of State Assets, and Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance and Economy, who opened the third day of the fair and the Education and Careers Day dedicated to young people and graduates, attended by 3,000 participants from 70 schools.

PowerConnect also hosted the Polish Energy Workers' Championships. Three-person technical teams competed in a demanding test of practical skills, precision and resilience under time pressure. In tackling tasks reflecting real challenges in working with energy infrastructure, the Insta (Electricians) and Energa Operator (Power Engineers) teams came out on top. As a prize, both teams will attend a UEFA Champions League football match.

The PowerConnect Award 2026 was also presented during the fair, along with one honourable mention and a special prize. The winners included:

Personality of the Year – Mirosław Bieliński, founder of Energa SA

Honourable mention for the School Complex of Refrigeration and Electronics in Gdynia

For the best startup, the jury of the competition organised jointly with Infoshare selected the idea of scientists from Austria, who created 2nd Cycle FlexCo, a technology startup focused on renewable energy, recycling and the reuse of photovoltaic panels.

During the PowerConnect fair at AMBEREXPO, we welcomed a total of 177 exhibitors from 15 countries.

The Power Partner of the fair was Energa, the strategic partner was PGE, and the event partner was Polska Spółka Gazownictwa. The gala partners were the NDI group, the After Hours zone partner was STBU, the substantive partner was the Viessmann partner schools, and the opening ceremony partner was the Port of Gdańsk.
