Letter of Intent signed on cooperation to deliver the Maritime Economy Forum project alongside the “Wspólna Kaczka” maritime business gala and the BaltExpo 2023 fair

During the 21st edition of the Maritime Economy Forum in Gdynia, a conference held on 14 October 2022 at the Conference Centre of the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia, a Letter of Intent was signed on undertaking cooperation to deliver the Maritime Economy Forum project alongside the “Wspólna Kaczka” maritime business gala and the BaltExpo 2023 fair.

The signatories to the agreement are:

· The Pomeranian Voivodeship, represented by Deputy Marshal Leszek Bonna

· The Municipality of Gdynia, represented by Deputy Mayor Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała

· The Municipality of Gdańsk, represented by Deputy Mayor Piotr Borawski

· Namiary Sp. z o.o., represented by President Piotr Frankowski

· Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie SA, represented by President Andrzej Bojanowski and Vice-President Paweł Orłowski

The aim of these efforts is to strengthen cooperation between the organisers of the leading industry events linked to the maritime economy sector in the Pomerania region, guided by the vision of a “maritime economy week” (working title) in the Tricity.

I would like to sincerely thank the local authorities of Gdynia and Gdańsk, as well as our business partners from AMBEREXPO, for their excellent cooperation. This partnership allows us to set shared goals. Today underlines our willingness and readiness to look in the same direction together, towards the joint development of the maritime economy sector. – said Piotr Borawski, Deputy Mayor of Gdańsk, during the ceremony.

The parties wish to use this opportunity to promote and support the development of the maritime economy in the region, and to create a platform for exchanging experience and building business contacts for representatives of this dynamically developing sector, including representatives of the shipbuilding industry, ports and maritime terminals, the offshore sector, technology suppliers and logistics providers.

The parties also intend to promote the cities of Gdańsk and Gdynia as business hubs for the maritime industry.
