In response to the significant rise in electricity prices, we have taken steps to reduce the cost of purchasing it. As part of this project, a photovoltaic installation consisting of 124 PV panels with a power output of 0.4 kW each was built on the roof of the AMBEREXPO building.
The degree of self-sufficiency of a building plays a very important role in saving on electricity. This is the amount of generated energy used directly to meet one's own needs. It largely depends on the habits of the people using the building and on switching on electrical devices during the hours of peak electricity production. Our installation's capacity (PV plant power) is 49.6 kWp, and the forecast annual output is 40,800 kWh.
A photovoltaic installation of this capacity and output is capable of meeting the needs of around 20 Polish households. The investment will operate for around 25 years with a low level of servicing required.
Our recent efforts to reduce the cost of purchasing energy are already bearing fruit. Our 124 panels have delivered:
- CO₂ emission reduction – 2,543.78 kg, equivalent to 75.92 trees planted –
- production – 6,680 kWh.
