Our annual global summit is where enthusiasts, city representatives, decision-makers, politicians, researchers and industry leaders come together to shape the future of cycling policy. Since 1980, the flagship event of the European Cyclists' Federation has promoted cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transport for everyone. Like no other event, the conference offers a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience to promote active mobility and sustainable urban development.

Energizing Solidarity
The current state of affairs is a timely reminder of recent history and Poland's geopolitical role in Europe, when Gdańsk became known
thanks to Solidarity and Lech Wałęsa, leader of the movement, President of Poland and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. This social movement opened the gates to a free Europe and a democratic Poland. It significantly helped overcome the communist era and the division of Europe that resulted from it.
Lech Wałęsa himself is, as it happens, a cyclist. We all want to stimulate the development of cycling policy and celebrate it as a symbol – a value, a simple tool in everyday life for a free, just and democratic society and for a sustainable future.
