Festival organised by the agency Live and Radio 357 ended after midnight with an electrifying concert by the rock quintet NOTHING BUT THIEVES and the band WOJTEK MAZOLEWSKI. Over the previous two days, attendees were able to experience a huge variety of music on the Gdańsk Stage and the ERGO Hestia Theatre Stage. From the guitar hits of the Norwegian artist GIRL IN RED, who swept the whole crowd away, through the pop songs of MILKY CHANCE, to the energetic jazz performance by EZRA COLLECTIVE.
The festival, hosted by the City of Gdańsk, showcased a broad spectrum of musical styles. His lyrical songs were played by TOM ODELL, and NILS FRAHM took the audience into a world of atmospheric electronica and minimalism. The band SHAME put on a gripping, edgy performance, as did BLACK HONEY, and SLEAFORD MODS showed just how convincingly post-punk can be combined with socially engaged lyrics.
Polish acts were also key highlights of the programme – the euphoria-inducing JANN and the dark, electronic BRODKA. A masterful display of skill was given by LESZEK MOŻDŻER, and KAŚKA SOCHACKA took festivalgoers into the world of her melancholic songs. A host of remarkable concerts also took place on the UPstage, featuring artists including NANGA, IMMORTAL ONION and TRUPA TRUPA. Over the two days, more than 12,000 people gathered across several spaces at AmberExpo. Alongside the music, they could enjoy a cinema programme, listen to guests in the Talk Zone of Radio 357 or unwind in the Świetlica lounge space. The festival also featured exhibitions, including the remarkable Asymmetry by Artystyczna Podróż exhibition, produced in collaboration with ERGO Hestia. Created specially in partnership with Food Hall Montownia, the largest mobile food hall in Poland brought together 12 restaurants serving cuisine from around the world. AmberExpo's spaces also hosted the Poster Fair, with fashion exhibitors and a vinyl records zone.
The dates for the second edition of the festival are already known – Inside Seaside will take place on 9 and 10 November 2024 and will once again be held in the halls of AmberExpo. A pool of Early Bird tickets priced at PLN 299 has gone on sale, available until the end of November or while stocks last.
