The event is aimed at eighth-grade pupils and their parents/guardians. The aim of the fair is to introduce young people to the offer of Gdańsk's secondary schools and to support them in choosing their further educational path. The fair will be held at AMBEREXPO, at ul. Żaglowa 11 in Gdańsk, from 10:00 to 15:00. Admission is free.
15 vocational schools will present their offer: technical secondary schools and first-stage trade schools, along with 19 general secondary schools. In addition, in a special zone, visitors will be able to talk to careers advisers.
Within the fair area there will be a stand dedicated to this year's admission rules, prepared by representatives of the Education Department of the Gdańsk City Hall. The programme also includes the gala of the Employer Friendly to Gdańsk Vocational School Competition, organised by the City of Gdańsk for 10 years. Gdańsk's public vocational schools nominate an employer who significantly contributes to the school's educational offer and organisation. During the gala ceremony, statuettes are presented to all nominated employers, and one selected among them receives the GRAND PRIX award.
A new tool will also be presented during the fair – EDUMAPA.COM. This is a comprehensive guide on choosing a further educational path, created by the Talent Development Centre of the Gdańsk Labour Office.
