About the performance
The production is based on Europe’s Pledge by Wajdi Mouawad. In it, Krzysztof Warlikowski examines collective responsibility, guilt and the inheritance of trauma in the context of contemporary wars, genocides and massacres of civilians. The creators root modern conflicts in Greek tragedy, confronting audiences with a provocative question about our indifference to the world’s tragedies.
