Gdańsk once again the world capital of amber and design

On 26–28 March 2026, the AMBEREXPO exhibition and congress centre in Gdańsk will host the next edition of the AMBERIF International Amber and Jewellery Fair – one of the most important industry events in Europe, dedicated to amber, jewellery and contemporary design.

AMBERIF is a meeting place for professionals: manufacturers, designers, wholesalers, gallery owners, collectors and trade media representatives. For years, the fair has served as a platform for exchanging knowledge, presenting new collections and forging international business relationships.

AMBERIF – a meeting space for the industry

The previous edition of AMBERIF Spring attracted 2,300 trade visitors from 38 countries, with 205 exhibitors from 12 countries presenting their offerings, confirming the event's international character and significance. While exhibitor registration for the 2026 edition is still under way, work on the fair's content programme is already well advanced.

One of its key highlights will be the seminar of the International Amber Association – a long-standing partner of AMBERIF, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026 – providing an opportunity to sum up the association's achievements and discuss the challenges and future direction of the amber market.

In addition, one of the fair days will be devoted to a conference on the use of amber in the creative industries. Organisers will highlight amber's potential beyond traditional jewellery – as a material used in accessory design, product design, architecture and marketing activities, among others. These are areas of growing interest to creators, architects and communication and branding specialists.

Competitions and design promotion

As every year, a winner of the prestigious AMBERIF Selection competition will be chosen from among the event's exhibitors.

At the same time, entries are being accepted for the international AMBERIF Design Award competition, which broke all records in the previous edition – organisers received 365 entries from 34 countries. This year's competition theme is "The Magic of Matter", and the entry deadline is 8 February 2026.

AMBER Vibes – amber on the catwalk

At the end of the first day of the fair, a special accompanying event will take place – the AMBER Vibes fashion and amber show. It will feature work by young creators from the School of Image Design in Gdańsk, as well as artists who work with amber every day and are also AMBERIF exhibitors.

The show's artistic director is Lidia Popiel – photographer, model and long-standing amber ambassador.

The AMBER Vibes show is the only part of the events open to the public beyond the trade audience – amber and fashion enthusiasts alike. Tickets will be available via eBilet. It is worth noting that AMBER Vibes is an event accompanying the AMBERIF fair but is not part of it – a ticket to the show does not grant entry to the fair, and registration for the AMBERIF fair does not automatically include entry to the show.

AMBERIF 2026 promises to be a multidimensional event combining business, knowledge, design and art, as well as a dialogue between tradition and a modern approach to amber. The organisers invite all professionals and enthusiasts to Gdańsk who want to be part of an international community centred on one of the most fascinating natural materials.
