2nd Pomeranian Intermodal Transport Congress

AMBEREXPO, Gdańsk

2nd Pomeranian Intermodal Transport Congress 12.10.2022

The intermodal transport market in Poland is relatively young, but is already characterised by steady growth. Its importance can be seen, among other things, in the long-term strategies of key carriers and in ongoing Polish seaport expansion projects. Cooperation between the many entities and institutions operating in the sector is essential for its harmonious development. This has been reflected for several years now in conference meetings held in Gdańsk.

During the the 2nd Pomeranian Intermodal Transport Congress, a joint undertaking of the TOR Economic Advisory Group and the Gdańsk International Fair we will discuss the future of the intermodal sector, the development of transport infrastructure and support systems for intermodal transport. We will look at the development of the intermodal offering, ask operators active in the market about their perception of it, and ask representatives of central and local administration about, among other things, planned initiatives to support the development of this branch of transport.

Invited experts and officials representing government administration, scientific institutions, industry associations and key market representatives will discuss the current state of the market and highlight trends and tendencies.

The congress will also feature a debate entitled “The consequences of adapting to environmental regulations in the context of the competitiveness of the Polish maritime economy”, which is a further element previewing BaltExpo 2023, the aim of which is to show the links between various issues important for the development of the maritime economy, from the perspective of its key segments forming the main groups of exhibitors and visitors to the fair BaltExpo 2023 – ports and terminals, the shipbuilding industry, the offshore sector – with green technologies and environmental issues chosen as the common denominator in this case.

The programme and registration details are available at: kongrestransportuintermodalnego.pl. Participation in the event is free of charge upon receiving accreditation from the organisers.

See you on 12 October in Gdańsk, at the AmberExpo Exhibition and Congress Centre!
