About the marathon
The 12th Lech Wałęsa August Marathon – is one of the biggest competitions in Poland for inline skating fans. This year's edition is also the Polish Championships in long-distance inline skating over the marathon distance.
As in previous years, we are organising an additional race over the half-marathon distance and the “Fitness” distance – 10.7 km, for those who want to experience the excitement of competing but don't yet feel ready to start over the marathon or half-marathon distance.
For the youngest participants we have prepared races over short distances depending on age. For those training at sports clubs (UKS), competition over longer distances.
The event's direct organiser is the Twister Trójmiasto Physical Culture Association. The event's co-organiser is the Polish Roller Sports Federation.
We invite you to join in the fun and to cheer the competitors on.

10.00 – 17.00 – Workshops: skating basics, city skating, freestyle slalom – Roll4All school – Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk stadium car park
10.00 – 12.00 – Speed skating competition for children – Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk stadium car park
12.30 – 13.30 – Children's award ceremony – stage by AMBEREXPO
13.30 – Official opening of the competition
14.00 – Start – FITNESS distance
15.15 – 18.30 – Main start – MARATHON, HALF-MARATHON
18.30 – Award ceremony – AMBEREXPO

Fees:
– children's competition – PLN 30.00 (regardless of payment date)
– fitness distance – PLN 130.00 (payment by 31.07.22) after this date PLN 160.00
– marathon, half-marathon: PLN 130.00 (payment by 31.07.22) after this date PLN 160.00
– entry fee on the day of the competition PLN 200.00
Accompanying events
This year we have prepared a range of accompanying events, including:
– inline skating workshops, learn-to-skate sessions, skating schools,
– a skate park for toddlers, skate hire,
– an inline skating fair.
