Eco energy-saving. Photovoltaic installation on the AMBEREXPO roof

Aware of our responsibility for the impact our activities have on the environment, we are working towards reducing CO2 emissions. One of the steps is the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the AMBEREXPO building, comprising 354 PV panels with a total capacity of 147.35 kWp.

The building's degree of self-sufficiency plays a very important role in saving electricity. This is the amount of energy generated that is used directly to meet the building's own needs. It largely depends on the habits of the people using the facility and on switching on electrical devices during the hours of peak electricity production. The capacity of our installation (the PV power plant's output) is 147.35 kWp, with projected annual production of 129,900 kWh.

A photovoltaic installation of this capacity and output is capable of meeting the needs of approximately 60 Polish households. The investment will operate for around 25 years with low servicing requirements.

the investment was carried out in two stages:

STAGE I

Investment completed between October and November 2022.

  • PV installation capacity – 49.6 kWp
  • Number of panels installed (0.4 kW panels) – 124

STAGE II

Investment completed in December 2023.

  • PV installation capacity – 97.75 kWp
  • Number of panels installed (0.425 kW panels) – 230

Benefits:

  • The investment fits into the eco-friendly trend followed by environmentally conscious businesses. Thanks to the installation, AMBEREXPO will achieve an annual CO₂ reduction – at the level of 80,429.04 kg.
  • Peak energy consumption coincides with the time when the panels generate the most electricity. As a result, a very high level of self-consumption is achieved, and most of the energy produced is used in full.
  • Estimated financial savings are approximately PLN 115,000 per year

Across the 700 m² active surface of the photovoltaic system, Multi-busbar technology was used, offering better light absorption and improved parameters. Power optimisers maximise solar energy production from each module individually, thereby reducing power losses, boosting the yield by up to 25% more energy.
