CURATIO fair – a response to social needs

On 23–24 September 2022, the CURATIO International Medical Tourism and Health Prevention Fair was held at Amberexpo in Gdańsk. The event focused on medical tourism, spa tourism, beauty, wellness and post-COVID rehabilitation.

The fair was attended by 30 exhibitors from Poland and abroad, and by 720 visitors. The fair was aimed at patients and people seeking medical services, as well as at medical specialists.

A conference was held during the event, featuring doctors and specialists from various fields of medicine. Discussions covered the most important issues relating to the organisation and promotion of the event. The key role of health prevention for the wellbeing of society, especially during the pandemic, was also highlighted.

The event also included a nationwide gathering of bariatric patients and a two-day conference attended by doctors and specialists in obesity treatment. During the event, experts discussed the multidimensional nature of medical tourism and its benefits for a wide range of stakeholders. The need for coordination and cooperation between different market players was also emphasised.

An additional highlight of the event was the accompanying Mega-Info-CHLO-Spot, an educational and social gathering offering patients at different stages of treatment the chance to exchange experiences.

The CURATIO fair was also available online via a specially prepared, modern platform, which had received positive feedback at other trade fair events. This made it possible for visitors and exhibitors from abroad who could not attend the fair in person to take part in the event.
