After more than two years of COVID-related upheaval, the Amberif fair is finally returning to its permanent home – the AMBEREXPO Trade Fair and Conference Centre in Gdańsk. This year's autumn edition of Poland's foremost jewellery trade event will take place on 1–3 September. Despite ongoing travel disruption and the still uncertain pandemic situation in China, business activity has returned to Europe, with strong momentum also visible among Polish shop, salon and goldsmith gallery owners – raising hopes that autumn 2022 will mark a promising start to a return to greater business activity.
Exhibitors at Amberif will include manufacturers of amber and gemstone jewellery, gold and silver jewellery, tools, accessories and semi-finished products for jewellery production, and specialist software and technological solutions supporting the goldsmithing industry. As usual, the autumn edition is also open to the public, making it an opportunity for unique shopping, including at the Designers' Gallery, where leading goldsmith-artists present collections of unique jewellery.
Gdańsk is also a place where amber trails cross. When visiting Amberif it is also worth visiting the Amber Museum, with its exceptional collection of historic amber craft artefacts and temporary exhibitions by contemporary goldsmith-artists. Ulica Mariacka, with its workshops and galleries, offers a unique atmosphere, and numerous industry organisations also prepare their own exhibitions and promotional events.
Given the current pace of exhibitor registrations and buyer interest, this year's fair is expected to attract around 200 exhibitors, visited by more than 2,000 trade guests from around the world.
