Under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, on 23 December 2025 we signed three loan agreements under Investment B3.4.1 “Investments in the green transformation of cities”:

Construction of a photovoltaic car park canopy with energy storage

Loan supporting the green transformation of cities, granted by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego

Project value and EU funding: PLN 2,000,000

Harnessing the potential of AMBEREXPO to generate electricity from renewable sources; increasing electricity generation from renewables; energy management; charging points for electric cars in the internal car park.

Installing the PV system brings an environmental benefit in the form of reduced emissions of CO₂ and other harmful substances produced by conventional coal-fired power plants.

The project complies with the principle of universal design. Once the investment is complete, energy from the renewable installation will be used for the Company's own needs across all events, with respect for the principles of equality.

The project reduces the consumption of renewable and non-renewable resources and supports keeping pollutant emissions as low as possible. Improved energy efficiency will reduce air pollution and improve the comfort and well-being of local residents, which will also benefit their health. It pursues the energy self-sufficiency of the city under Gdańsk Development Programmes 2030.

Thermal modernisation of the AMBEREXPO facility

Loan supporting the green transformation of cities, granted by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego

Project value and EU funding: PLN 2,500,000

The main aim of the project is climate change mitigation and adaptation; more efficient use of resources; lower pollution levels; and stronger measures to increase the energy resilience of cities and tackle energy poverty.

The Company aims to reduce the consumption of electricity and heat in the facility, lower costs and cut CO₂ emissions, working towards a green building.

The Company intends to achieve this through a comprehensive refurbishment of the facility, starting with roof insulation and the replacement of membranes, which protect the roof structure and the thermal insulation against moisture from outside and inside while remaining vapour-permeable, allowing the roof to breathe and moisture to escape. This prevents the insulation from becoming damp, which would cause it to lose its insulating properties.

At the same time, the heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems are to be modernised, which will result in lower heating costs and fewer pollutant emissions. Replacing traditional lighting with LED will bring energy savings, longer lamp life and environmental benefits. The process will mainly involve replacing old bulbs or fluorescent tubes with their LED equivalents.

Thermal modernisation improves the technical condition of buildings, which means lower demand for new construction materials in the future. Reduced energy consumption lowers bills, which has a positive effect on the finances of residents and may increase public acceptance of environmental measures.

Thermal modernisation is a practical expression of the principle of sustainable development, because it:

  • supports the rational use of natural resources,
  • helps protect the climate,
  • promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

It is therefore beneficial for the environment, for the economy and for the quality of life of society.

Construction of a photovoltaic installation on the roof of Hall D at AMBEREXPO

Loan supporting the green transformation of cities, granted by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego

Project value and EU funding: PLN 1,600,000

The main aim of the project is climate change mitigation and adaptation; more efficient use of resources; lower pollution levels; stronger measures to increase the energy resilience of cities and tackle energy poverty; greater use of electricity from renewable sources, harnessing the potential for own electricity generation, and reduced CO₂ emissions.

Harnessing the potential of AMBEREXPO to generate electricity from renewable sources; increasing electricity generation from renewables; energy management. The installation is to serve the entire AMBEREXPO trade fair and exhibition complex, that is the three existing exhibition halls, the conference centre and the office building, as well as the newly built fourth hall and the hotel.
